Mt. McLoughlin Summit

Here is a USGS aerial photo of Mt. McLaughlin.  We summited from the east side, you can see the spine in these pictures and compare it for a sense of location.  It seemed like it would be a decently easy summit in the summer, just a slog, but because we did it in this time period where there is a lot of melting and refreezing, there was a layer of verglas over everything at the top making it a little sketchball, but thats why we have ice tools.  It is a super underrated cascade volcano.

    Hi, I'm Nilo.  Living in Oregon I mostly enjoy sports by the season. Summer is mountain biking, kayaking and climbing.  Fall is kayaking and surfing.  Winter is skiing and backcountry skiing. Spring is kayaking and late skiing.  All with some traveling thrown in there
